How does it work?
Our dentists work with you to design your perfect smile. We remove a minimal amount of enamel from the surface of your tooth/teeth to prepare it for the final restoration. Impressions are taken before being sent to a dental laboratory to be made. Finally, we place your custom made porcelain veneers.
A tooth coloured filling can be used for minor repairs to front teeth. Crowns are best for teeth that need to be strengthened due to being broken or following root canal treatment.
Sometimes a simple white filling may continue to break off due to your bite or even the size of the restoration. In these instances a single veneer may be recommended as a more permanent solution as they are minimally invasive compared to crowns.
Multiple veneers can also be used to reconstruct your smile in cosmetic treatment plans.
Veneers are meant to be a permanent alteration, as they require removal of some of your natural enamel to fit properly and can last for 5-10 years. Veneers are fragile so avoid biting down on hard objects, such as pens, pencils or ice cube.
